What's Happening This Month?
This month, we've got a packed schedule designed to nourish your soul and strengthen our bonds. First off, mark your calendars for our Annual Community Outreach Day on the 15th. This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to our local community. We'll be partnering with several local charities to provide essential services and support to those in need. Last year, we were able to [mention a specific achievement from last year's outreach, e.g., 'collect over 500 pounds of food for the local food bank' or 'help build a playground for a community center']. This year, we're aiming to make an even bigger impact! Remember, it's in giving that we receive, and the blessings that come from serving others are truly immeasurable. We'll need volunteers for various roles, so please sign up at the church office or online if you can lend a hand. Your time and effort are invaluable. Following that, we have our Family Fun Day at the park on the 22nd. It’s a chance for us to relax, connect, and have some good old-fashioned fun together. Think games, delicious food, and great company! It’s the perfect way to create lasting memories with your loved ones and fellow church members. We're also thrilled to announce a new Bible Study Series kicking off next week, focusing on the book of Ephesians. Pastor John will be leading the sessions every Wednesday evening at 7 PM in the fellowship hall. This series promises deep dives into the powerful teachings of Paul, offering practical insights for our daily lives. Whether you're a seasoned Bible scholar or just beginning your spiritual journey, you'll find something to inspire and challenge you. Come prepared to engage, ask questions, and grow in your understanding of God's word. Don't forget to check out the Youth Group's upcoming car wash fundraiser – details are on the back page! They’re raising money for their summer mission trip, and every little bit helps. We're incredibly proud of the dedication and spirit of our young people.
Stories from the Pews
One of the most rewarding parts of compiling this newsletter is hearing the incredible stories of faith and transformation within our congregation. This month, we want to shine a spotlight on Sarah Jenkins, a member who recently shared her powerful testimony. Sarah had been going through an incredibly difficult time, facing personal challenges that seemed insurmountable. She felt lost and alone, struggling to find hope. But through persistent prayer, the unwavering support of her small group, and the comforting presence of God, she found the strength to persevere. Sarah says, “I truly felt God’s hand guiding me through those dark days. The prayers of this church family were a lifeline.” Her story is a beautiful reminder that we are never alone in our struggles. We are part of a community that lifts each other up, offering encouragement and support when we need it most. We also want to share a heartwarming update from our missionary partners in Kenya. They recently sent us photos and a message detailing how the funds we raised last quarter have helped them expand their feeding program for local children. Seeing the smiles on those little faces, knowing that our collective generosity is making a tangible difference, is truly inspiring. It reaffirms the impact we can have when we come together for a common cause. These stories, big and small, are the heartbeats of our church. They remind us of the power of faith, the importance of community, and the incredible impact we can make when we act with love and compassion. If you have a story you'd like to share, please reach out to us – we'd love to hear from you!

A Word from Our Pastor
My dear church family, it is with immense joy and gratitude that I address you through this newsletter. As I look around our vibrant community, I am constantly reminded of God’s faithfulness and the incredible work He is doing among us. The church is not just a building; it is a living, breathing body of believers, united by love and a shared purpose. In this fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind and lose sight of what truly matters. That’s why moments of connection, like those fostered through our newsletter and our various church events, are so vital. They provide us with the space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with our spiritual foundation and with one another. This month’s theme of outreach and service is particularly close to my heart. Jesus called us to be His hands and feet in the world, to extend His love and compassion to all those we encounter. Our outreach initiatives are not merely charitable acts; they are acts of worship, demonstrations of God’s kingdom breaking into our community. I am so proud of your willingness to step out in faith and make a difference. Furthermore, as we embark on the new Ephesians Bible study, I pray that it will be a time of profound spiritual growth for each of you. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians is rich with theological truth and practical application, offering us a deeper understanding of our identity in Christ and our calling as the Church. May we approach these studies with open hearts and minds, eager to learn and be transformed. Remember, your faith journey is a continuous process, and we are here to support you every step of the way. Let us continue to pray for one another, to encourage each other, and to walk in the light of God’s love. Blessings,
Pastor John
Get Involved!
Feeling inspired? Want to dive deeper and become more involved in our church community? That's awesome! Getting plugged in is one of the most rewarding aspects of church life. We have numerous opportunities for you to serve, connect, and grow. Consider joining one of our small groups, where you can build meaningful relationships and explore your faith in a supportive environment. We have groups for men, women, couples, and mixed ages, so there's something for everyone. If you have a passion for serving the next generation, check out our children's ministry or youth group programs – they're always looking for enthusiastic volunteers! For those who love to sing or play an instrument, our worship team is a wonderful place to use your talents for God's glory. And, of course, there’s the ongoing need for volunteers in various capacities, from helping with ushering and greeting on Sundays to assisting with administrative tasks during the week. Don't forget about our outreach programs – they are the heart of our mission to serve the community. You can find more information about all these opportunities on the church bulletin board, our website, or by stopping by the church office. Your involvement matters! It’s how we build a stronger, more vibrant church family and how we collectively fulfill the mission God has given us. We believe that everyone has a gift to share, and we can't wait to see how you'll contribute. Come talk to us after a service, send an email, or give us a call – we're eager to help you find your place!
Prayer Requests
Our prayer is a powerful tool, and as a church family, we believe in lifting each other up in prayer. If you have a specific prayer request, please don't hesitate to share it with us. You can submit your requests through the prayer request cards available in the pews, via email to [church email address], or by speaking directly with one of our elders or pastors. All requests are kept confidential unless you specify otherwise. We encourage you to pray for the following ongoing needs within our community:
- For healing and comfort for those who are sick or recovering from illness.
- For strength and guidance for families facing difficult times.
- For wisdom and success for our upcoming outreach projects.
- For our youth as they prepare for their mission trip.
- For unity and spiritual growth within our congregation.
Remember, the power of prayer is immense. “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” (Romans 12:12). Let's continue to be a church that prays fervently and faithfully for one another. Your prayers make a difference!
