Introduction

Furthermore, the sample was soaked in a 2% methylene blue solution for 24 hours to facilitate the measurement of micro leak penetration. Measurement is done by cutting samples mesio-decent and analyzing dyes penetration under the stereomicroscope with an enlargement of 20x. In addition, more in-depth observations were made using Electron Microscope (SEM) scanning to evaluate the details of micro leakage.

Results

The results of statistical analysis conducted using Kruskal-Wallis Test showed that there was no significant difference (P> 0.05) in a micro leak between the use of Lining RMGIC and Biodentine. In addition, the use of the matrix system both Tofflemire and V3 Ring also does not show a significant difference (P> 0.05) in the context of micro leakage. This finding confirms that although there are different lining and matrix options, both have an important role in the restoration of class II composite resin.
