Introduction
Periodontal disease is a chronic inflammation caused by a bacterial infection, which affects the supporting tissue of tooth and alveolar bones in the oral cavity. If not treated, this disease has the potential to cause teeth loss. Previous studies show that periodontal disease, especially periodontitis, has a close relationship with a number of systemic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, and miscarriage in pregnancy. Periodontal infection can function as a source of infection for these systemic diseases, so it is essential to understand how much knowledge people are, especially PLN Lubuk Pakam employees, regarding periodontal diseases and their relationship with other health conditions.

Research Methodology
This research is descriptive by involving 129 PLN Lubuk Pakam employees as respondents, taken through total sampling. Data collection was carried out by purposive sampling technique, where respondents were asked to fill out questionnaires related to their level of knowledge about periodontal disease and their relation to systemic conditions. To analyze data, the validity test, reliability test, and descriptive statistical analysis are used.
Research Result
The results show that 64.9% of employees have a level of knowledge about periodontal disease in the medium category. However, when explored deeper, their knowledge of the relationship of periodontal disease with the conditions and systemic diseases is classified as lacking, with a percentage reaching 49.5%. Of the total respondents, the questionnaire reflects that 45.2% answered "yes" to questions related to their understanding, 19.3% answered "no", and 35.4% felt "do not know". The number "yes" which reached 45.2% shows that although there is a basic understanding, the average score of this knowledge is still below 56%, which indicates that their knowledge in this context is considered lacking.

The results of this study indicate that the majority of PLN Lubuk Pakam employees have a medium level of knowledge about periodontal disease. However, their knowledge of the relationship between periodontal disease and systemic conditions is lacking.
