Introduction

Sprouts caused by the mushroom of athelial rolfsii (Curzi) are a serious threat to soybean plants (Glycine max (L.) Merril). Background

Soybean is one of the most widely cultivated crops in the world, and Indonesia is one of the largest producers of soybeans. Results

The results showed that the treatment of R1 (A. Rolfsii) had the highest percentage of disease severity of 50%, while the treatment of R3, R5, and R6 showed the severity of 0%, which indicated success in controlling pathogens. The results also showed that the application of PGPR such as Burkholderia Cepacia, Pantoea spp. 2, and Vibrio alginolyticus significantly decreases both the severity and the incidence of sprouts. This decrease indicates that these bacteria can function as effective biological control agents.
