Introduction

This study aims to investigate the relationship between Dancow's dairy product advertisements on television and community buying interest in the Perumnas Simalingkar Gang Pinang Raya I, II, III, and IV.

The sample used in this study totaled 88 people taken using the Arikunto formula, with purposive sampling technique to ensure that respondents had relevance to the research subjects. Data was collected through a questionnaire specifically designed to measure respondents' perceptions of advertising and their buying interest.

Data analysis was carried out using a single table analysis, cross-table analysis, and hypothesis test with the Spearman rank correlation formula to determine the strength of the relationship between the two variables.

Research Findings

The results of the study showed that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, which means there was a significant positive relationship between Dancow's milk advertisements on television and community buying interest in Perumnas Simalingkar Gang Pinang Raya I, II, III, and IV. The correlation found is 0.774, which shows that the more often the public is exposed to Dancow dairy products, the higher their interest in buying these products.

Analysis and Implications

The 0.774 correlation indicates a pretty strong relationship between advertising and buying interest. This shows that marketing strategies carried out through television advertisements are quite effective in influencing consumer purchasing decisions. In an effort to increase sales, companies can strengthen advertisements by targeting more specific market segments and adjusting ad content to be more relevant to the needs and preferences of the community.

In addition, the results of this study can be a reference for other companies in designing advertising campaigns that can attract consumer attention. By understanding the effect of advertising on buying interest, companies can optimize the marketing budget and improve their communication strategies.
