Discussion

The results of this study indicate that the government's efforts to increase tax awareness and facilitate the payment process through an online system and provide better services have a positive impact on taxpayer's behavior. However, the sunset policy does not show a significant effect on taxpayer compliance, which may be caused by other factors such as lack of socialization or lack of understanding of the sunset policy itself.

Improving the Quality of Tax Services: Improving the quality of tax services, both through increasing human resources, infrastructure, and technology, it is very important to increase the satisfaction and trust of taxpayers.
Increasing Coordination between Institutions: Good coordination between related institutions, such as the Directorate General of Taxes and Local Governments, is important to ensure the harmony of programs and policies related to taxes, so as to increase the effectiveness of efforts to increase taxpayer compliance.

This study has important implications for the government and stakeholders in increasing taxpayer compliance in Binjai City.
