A Message from Our Pastor

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, it is with immense joy and gratitude that I write to you today. As we gather our thoughts for this newsletter, I am reminded of the incredible blessing it is to be a part of this vibrant community here at Islandeady Church. Our faith is not meant to be lived in isolation; it is a journey we embark on together, supporting, uplifting, and challenging each other to grow closer to our Lord. The verses from Hebrews truly resonate with the heart of our church – the importance of fellowship, mutual encouragement, and active faith.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been particularly struck by the ways you all have shown up for one another. From visiting the sick and elderly, to organizing meals for families in need, to simply offering a listening ear or a comforting word, your acts of love and service are a testament to the transformative power of the Gospel. These are the moments that truly define us – not just as a congregation, but as followers of Christ. We are called to be a beacon of hope and love in the world, and I see that light shining brightly through each of you.

Looking ahead, we have some exciting opportunities for deeper connection and spiritual growth. Our upcoming Bible study series on the Book of John promises to be a profound exploration of Jesus’s life and teachings, offering fresh insights and practical applications for our daily lives. I encourage everyone, whether you're a seasoned theologian or new to exploring the scriptures, to join us. Hey everyone, gather ‘round! We’ve got some truly inspiring stories to share from our Islandeady family that really highlight the impact of our faith and community. It’s these personal testimonies that often speak the loudest, reminding us why we come together each week.
