The palm oil industry is a significant contributor to the economy of North Sumatra, with many plantations located in the Tebing Tinggi District. However, the extensive use of cattle in these plantations has raised concerns about the health and well-being of these animals. Methodology

The study was conducted from January to April 2023, and involved the collection of fecal samples from three types of cows: madrasine, limousine, and simmental. Each type of cow had 30 samples collected, resulting in a total of 90 samples. The samples were then analyzed for the presence of endoparasites using a combination of microscopic and molecular techniques.

Results

The results of the study showed that there were seven types of endoparasites that infected cattle in the palm oil plantations of Tebing Tinggi District. These included:
