Introduction

This study aims to make paracetamol nanosuspension using the top down method, characterize, and test the analgesic and antipyretic effects in vivo. In this study, the effects of nanosuspension will be compared with paracetamol suspension and solutions. The development of paracetamol nanosuspension is expected to provide a safer and more efficient formulation for patients, especially children. The use of nanosuspension technology can improve the solubility and bioavailability of paracetamol, making it more effective in managing pain and fever.

Methodology

This research was conducted through several stages. First, the identification of raw materials is done to determine the quality of the material to be used. Then, paracetamol nanosuspension is produced using the top down method. The top down method involves the use of high-energy milling to break down the paracetamol particles into smaller sizes. After manufacturing, the characterization of nanosuspensions is carried out, including organoleptic examination, measurement of particle size, potential zeta, pH, specific gravity, ratio, and solubility test and stability for three months.
